supermarket cooking sauce table

work-in-progress ...

my opinion of supermarket curry sauces as I taste them
update : 26sep21

Supermarket meal sauces seem to come mostly in 3 types :
1. Ready to pour (e.g. is ready to use, contains the carrier liquid, everything). Usually in a jar and is a liquid.
2. Paste (minus the liquid). Usually in a smaller jar, less weight, and has no liquid.
3. Sachets (no liquid at all). You add the liquid and other things like e.g. tomatoes etc.

As my sauce-journey begins, my current bias is for pastes.

1. Ready-to-pour sauces :
Good :
As it says, ready to go. Don't need to add anything (unless you want)
Bad :
Big jars. Have to use in 3-4 days as it goes bad.

2. Paste sauces :
Good :
Just add water or another liquid ? (and anything else you want).
Smaller and lighter jar than ready-to-pour.
Keeps for maybe 4 weeks (as it has not much liquid)
Bad :

3. Sachets
Good :
Easiest to bring back from store and store.
Just add liquid and anything else you want.

Keeps for weeks.
Bad :
